This break has been really good for me. As I said at dinner last night, "I'm recharged and ready to go back." We'd gone for pizza over to Barry and Shelean's new place which has a kitchen that falls into a dining room both flooding out to the living room in artful splashes. It was great to see Tyler who's 4.0 at SCAD, and Seth who might even be taller than myself. All kinds of things change when you leave; kids are getting new favorite classes, new coffee houses open on your street, buildings have appeared, some have burned down.
My favorite part is that I get to see have changed without me. Of course experience in life is always an experience including myself, like how atoms change whether or not someone or something is paying attention to them, the experience falls in on itself--but in this case, I have a holiday back to real life back home as it has changed without me to influence it. I could get used to living in two different places... and it won't be long until Christmas, so I get to be back here again.
Plane leaves early, I'll be up all night. Good thing too cause OreO needs attention, maybe his atoms will heat up and he'll loose a little bit of that tummy. :)
and finally...
